Repent and Allah will make your way :)) get back to your prayers, your lovely addiction and don’t let anything that gets you far from Allah, ANYTHING!
you’re not a kafira if you don’t wear hijab, you’re only a believer that made a sin, you actually believe in Allah, don’t you? ;) and try to learn more about hijab and get closer to Allah, especially get closer to Allah and you’ll see Good coming to you by itself.
and make the change come out of your ownself, not from others, from your own beliefs ;)
may Allah help you ^^
Actually, I used to be like you: always afraid of people’s reactions and imagining what my life would be if people rejected me etc. From a personal experience I got over it by spending more time at my own, made myself my bestfriend, thinkin’ ‘bout different topics of life and building my own opinions from my point of view and how I personally see the world and by time I fixed my own principles, those which I use to live (be sure to refer to qur’an everytime to make sure you’re on the right way of thinking).. Plus, think of Allah when you spend time at your own and make Him your bestfriend.
And with all of that, you’ll be appreciated and especially respected. Y’know people always respect independent people, strong ones who rely on theirselves and who practice their beliefs and opinions. You may think that being like someone means that you’ll be close to him/her but in reality, you’ll both get bored..
Spend time with yourself then be yourself :))
Wa Alaykum Assalam,
I’ll be correcting something: if she witnesses that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger you have no right to call her a ‘kaafir”, she is a muslim.
I think you should talk to her about the benefits of hijab, have a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm8jopLoR4U ;)
my avatar refers to “rabia sit-in” in Cairo, Egypt. Exactly on Rabia square.. rabia in arabic means “4th”.. That sit-in is anti-coup in egypt and that hand shows the number four and it means that we support our brothers in Egypt in struggling for their freedom and anti the military system :) I hope I answered your question ^^
Salam Alaykum (peace be upon you),
it is forbidden in Islam for a muslim man to marry a non-muslim women until she became a muslim one. And it is forbidden for a muslim lady to marry a non-muslim guy until he become muslim.
and here’s the verse in the qur’an:
”Wed not idolatresses till they believe; for lo! a believing bondwoman is better than an idolatress though she please you; and give not your daughters in marriage to idolaters till they believe, for lo! a believing slave is better than an idolater though he please you. These invite unto the Fire, and Allah inviteth unto the Garden, and unto forgiveness by His grace, and expoundeth His revelations to mankind that haply they may remember." (Suurat Al-Baqarah:221)
But a muslim can marry a christian if:
1- She/he’s a true christian (not like christians of our days worshipping three gods, the true christians worship only one god)
2- She/he is virgin
3- Not involved in a war against Muslims
And a muslim can marry a jewish if:
1- she/he’s true jewish
3- Not involved in a war against Muslims
That was written in the explanation of Qur’an by Ibn-Kuthair for the verse:
”This day are (all) good things made lawful for you. The food of those who have received the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And so are the virtuous women of the believers and the virtuous women of those who received the Scripture before you (lawful for you) when ye give them their marriage portions and live with them in honour, not in fornication, nor taking them as secret concubines. Whoso denieth the faith, his work is vain and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter. (Suurat Al Maeda: 05)
"despair not of the Spirit of Allah. Lo! none despaireth of the Spirit of Allah save disbelieving folk." (Yusuf:87)
